Green Tavush Youth Leadership

Our Youth Leadership and Environmental Activism Project will involve 140-200 youth ages 11-18 in ten communities from 2011-2012.

Green Tavush Trash Clean-Ups

2004-2010: Green Tavush has run 51 community trash cleanups, involving 700 Armenian youth from 32 communities.

5 urban and 429 rural waste dumps which fail to meet basic sanitation and hygiene requirements. 11 urban waste sites and 178 local sites which operate illegally. Around 36 million tons of waste is generated annually. (Source Green Tavush Resource Center

Our Resource center has translated 16 movies and other materials, prepared 20 eco camps as well as been a resource for local community members.
